Magic Loop

The other day, someone commented on my Google profile and mentioned magic loop. I will have to be something that I try on a future project. I am going to finish my mittens with the double pointed needles.

Mitten Update

I try to take a little time to knit, so I can relax. But that can be a challenge when I leave my pattern at home. Thanks to mom, she send me a picture of the pattern. Then I can grab it the next time I am at home. But this is what I have completed compared to last week.

Mitten Fever!

So I decided to start another pair of mittens. It is not the Paris mittens, but a pair that I found from Jane Austen Knits. They are Chawton Mittens.I just am using a different shade of blue.

Here is the finished cuff:

Here is how far I got yesterday:

I finished the mittens!!!

I finally finished the Paris mittens. Here are some photos of the finished product. I have been working on these for a little while and now I don't know what to do. It is a similar feeling to when you finish a book series that you have been devoted to. I think that my next project may be from Jane Austen Knits or I may work on creating my own patterns. Decisions, Decisions!

Also, you may be wondering if the fingers are getting caught on the yarn (Okay, that is at least what my mom was wondering). The answer is NO. I learned a technique that I call "trapping the float", back when I made the Sweetheart Bag. I found this video and it was very helpful.

Time to get busy

I have busy lately. I sold a blanket that I made. Here are two gifts that I made for my mom. I used leaves to make these canvases.

I was going to this as a backup gift, but as I got started, I had to finish it. I think that it came out well.
I have to go and finish the Paris mittens.
