Something in the works

I have been working on a script/musical. I mean I haven't gotten too far, but I started it. It is based on my personal experience and where I  would like to imagine my life can go. I have lyrics that I would use and a title I can use.

Here are some of the projects that I have completed the past year or so. A sweater and a couple of blankets. I got to experience using different styles of knitting. I have started to create my own patterns.

love this quote!!!

Musicals

I love musicals!!! The story and the music is what gets me. I feel so connected to it when I feel can relate to the characters. One character that shows this is Natalie from Next to Normal. She feels that she has to be perfect for her parents to love her and I feel the same way at times. The lyrics to this song, "Superboy and the Invisible Girl," speak to me.

I love to write and I hope someday to write a story or music or maybe a musical that will connected to someone's life like Next to Normal connected to mine.

I sold a shawl!!!

I knit and crochet. Some of the items that I make, I sell in a local store. I hear a lot from people, "that is so pretty," then they don't buy it. But today, someone picked it up and set it on the counter. WooHoo!!!
I would like to make a career about something I love, but I am not sure where to start. Maybe my knitting and crocheting can help with that.

Inspiration

I just had an idea for a story that I could write. It would be a romance and the only other thing that I have is the setting. It would be around the turn of the century, 1900s, not 2000s. I have always said that I am an old soul and I felt that I could be so comfortable in that time period.

When you believe

Samantha Barks is amazing. I love her voice and she does this song justice. Just another song to inspire me and anyone who reads this.

I love to write

Over the years, I have developed for writing. I used to write in a journal every day. I write lyrics and I have about 60 pages of a story that I have been working on the past few months. Maybe the journey that I am meant to take to be a writer. Here is a little bit of the story. I don't know how many people will see this, but I have to put myself out there.
"Denise
“I love him.”
Those were the words that came out of my mouth when I woke up from the dream. I sat up in my bed and pushed my hair back while my eyes adjusted to the sunlight that was coming from between the curtains. After a minute, I hugged my knees to my chest and my mind went over the details of the dream.
I knew it was a dream, but it felt so real. Usually I forget the dreams as soon as I woke up, but this morning I could remember everything. I remembered the warmth from the embrace, how blue his eyes were, the sound of his voice, and the kiss.
Oh, the kiss. I touch my lips and closed my eyes to remember the kiss. I just remember looking in those eyes, him leaning down towards me and gently placing a tender and loving kiss on my lips. That was when the dream ended.
I lay back down and hoping that the dream would resume where it left off. But it was no use, my brain was going a mile a minute and my thoughts were endless. I looked at the clock and it said 5:20. I wasn’t supposed to get up for another couple of hours. I decided that I should go for a run to try to clear my mind and forget about the man how the dream. How could I love somebody that I never met and didn’t even know his name?"

Knitting has been a way for me to express my creativity for years. This is a project that I have been working on for a little while. I have gotten to find patterns that I like and that express myself. I have gotten to create my own patterns too. I will post it when it is completed. Thanks to Jill McGee for the original pattern.
